After Hours

Issue No. 1 · April 2026

Not for the kiddies. 🌙

After hours in my 20s looked very, very different. These days, at 44 with two young kids, it’s a lot quieter, and honestly, it’s the pocket of time I look forward to. A little scrolling, a little unwinding, and finally a second to think about something beyond the day to day.

I’ve been wanting a space to share more of that with you. Something a little more personal, a little more me. The things I have and love, need (totally questionable), and very much want for our family and home. These are the kind of things I’d normally text a friend about or keep in my favorites album on my phone.

So here we are. I’ll talk through it all here, and keep everything linked over on ShopMy, essentially my running tab of what I’m wearing, using, eyeing, and adding to cart. Always evolving, just like my late night scrolls.

Things I Have (& Love)

A handful of things our family has and loves. Pieces we live with, wear, and use on a regular basis.

01. Jamie Haller Trap Pumps

I’ve been a Jamie Haller devotee since she first came on the scene, and true story, I ordered these the second I received the launch email, before even getting out of bed. The fit is spot on, and the heel hits that sweet spot: polished and pulled together without tipping into uncomfortable.

And this Fire color, well, you already know. Bold but surprisingly versatile, this color plays so well with everything already in my closet. Yes, they’re an investment, but the kind that earns its keep quickly. Cost per wear, completely justified.

02. Facile Skincare

Ok, I’ll admit it. I fell for the packaging first. Bright, modern, impossible to ignore. But after a few months of a consistent routine, I am officially a big fan.

Facile’s products are gentle, fragrance-free, and feel really good on the skin, lightweight and easy to layer too. I am especially hooked on their serums, which are designed to be mixed and matched depending on what your skin needs. I’ve been reaching for the Brighten and Reverse on repeat. Worth also noting how fantastic the moisturizer is, soothing, unfussy, and quietly hardworking.

All of this, and the fact that each product comes in under $40, makes Facile an easy yes.

03. Le Bon Shoppe Extended Boyfriend Socks

I don’t overthink socks, but these, I care deeply about.

Le Bon Shoppe hits that perfect balance of feeling a little styled without trying too hard. I love that they are completely genderless, and one size fits all. Jason and I both wear them interchangeably. This varsity-leaning pair just does it for me every single time, slightly nostalgic, a little sporty, and with a considered feeling with every wear.

We’re both very into them, which says a lot.

04. Hawkins New York Essential Glassware

These are the glasses we use for everything, and I do mean everything. Water, wine, cocktails, juice. They’ve fully replaced anything stemmed in our house at this point.

The Essential Glassware from Hawkins New York just makes sense for how we live. They come in a range of great colors. You can keep it tonal or mix things up. And they stack, which is huge when you’re trying to keep your cabinets somewhat under control.

Simple, versatile, and always in rotation over here.

05. Tiny Cottons Blossoms Ribbed Tee & Pants

No exaggeration, Olive wears this Tiny Cottons set at least twice a week currently.

She loves the fit, snug yet comfortable, and she’s very into the flare moment happening with the pants. Ideal for spring weather too, with just enough warmth on its own, but easy to layer a sweatshirt over when needed.

This is one of those outfits that just works without much thought, which I appreciate as much as she does.

Things I Need

Dare I say, things I need. A few perhaps more practical pieces on my list that I haven’t pulled the trigger on just yet.

01. La Bonne Brosse N.03 The Gentle Scalp Care Hairbrush

Growing up, my Dad had a single Mason Pearson hairbrush, and honestly, it’s a really good brush. He still uses it to this day.

This one from La Bonne Brosse feels like the same idea, just a bit more fashion-girl coded. I love the color options, and that you can choose the bristle type depending on your actual hair needs.

With a daughter who requires some serious detangling, this feels like one of those slightly indulgent but ultimately worth it purchases, especially if it lasts as long as my Dad’s has.

02. Easyplant Large Fiddle Leaf Fig

We used to have a home full of plants. Then came a full trim paint moment, everything moved outside, and none of them recovered. Except one - our Easyplant.

I love that they only need to be watered once a month. I literally add a reminder to my calendar so I don’t forget. Easyplant offers a range of plant sizes and really beautiful pot options, plus helpful guidance on what works best for your space and light.

I truly don’t know why I’ve been dragging my feet. Maybe because it doesn’t feel like the most exciting buy. But my very plant-less home is begging to differ.

03. Reformation Brooks Oversized Denim Jacket

Denim on denim is basically my entire personality, so how I have gone this long without a proper denim jacket is beyond me.

I am a little particular about wash and fit, but this one from Reformation feels just right. Oversized in the way I want it to be, with a wash that plays well against the denim I already have and wear often.

Honestly, this is starting to feel like my cue to stop overthinking and just make it mine.

On My Want List

These are the things that are absolutely not essential, but feel very tempting right now. Currently sitting in my cart.

01. Donni Baby Rib Scallop Pant

These should probably be filed under all the things here, because I have them, love them, and very much want and need more colors.

I’m a Donni girl through and through, and this is pretty much what you’ll find me in on any given day. They are completely seasonless. I love to pair them with boxy button downs or oversized tees, and they double as a very cute swim coverup this time of year.

Soft, a fantastic fit, I adore.

02. Dusen Dusen Dot Towels

I am fully obsessed with these thick, terry towels from Dusen Dusen. The colors, the prints, they just make something as everyday as a towel feel way more fun.

Our towel situation is a full mix that I enjoy leaning into. Each year I like to replenish with a few new prints and toss a few old. I cannot tell you how oddly satisfying it is to see a fresh print join the stack.

03. Todd Snyder Cotton Cashmere Sweater Polo

This one’s for Jason. He has a ton of blue in his closet (blue eyes, I get it), so I’ll take any opportunity to bring in something with a bit more color. This green leaf shade feels like a good place to start.

The fit is just right, and it works across the board - casual work meetings, date nights with me, even paired with a dressier pant for a more fancy occasion. It’s exactly the kind of piece I would happily grab for him in more than one color.

And Just Like That...

When you’re building your baby’s wardrobe, it’s easy to end up with drawers full of clothes that barely get worn. Between growth spurts, spit-ups, snack mishaps, and multiple outfit changes before you’ve even finished your coffee, babies really don’t need dozens of complicated outfits.

Tees, please.

The style they'll wear on repeat (and then some).

There are a lot of things you can overthink when getting your kids dressed. Tees are not one of them.
